> Gold Room – Electrowinning Sludge Filtration

For your gold room we have designed a large-capacity (100L) stainless steel pressure filter for the removal of gold sludge from electrowinning cells. This filter has been specifically designed with the unique requirement to process large volumes of corrosive solution with a low solids % (low by volume – but high by mass). 

Any person with filtration experience knows that pressurized filtration is significantly faster than vacuum filtration, with the added benefit of having a smaller filter media surface area. With a smaller filter area the cake is condensed into a more manageable size. 

Because of the large filtration surface area, compared to smaller laboratory pressure filters, these filters do not need to run at very high pressures to achieve the same dewatering force (at the filter cloth) as smaller laboratory pressure filters.  

Please note that for use in Australia this product would need to be the AS 1210 compliant version – which is recommended anyway.
