Pulse-Bac® Automatic Self-Cleaning Vacuum Control Technology:

The Pulse-bac® series vacuums are equipped with patented Pulse-Bac Technology, the most advanced filter filtration system available, capable of preventing the filters from becoming faced with dust and debris and clogging during operation. This patented technology (US Patent # 7.082.640 B2) automatically flushes the filters clear of dust and debris during operation, using only ambient air and vacuum. No blowers, shakers, compressors or buttons to push.

 

Cyclonic Debris Management:

The Pulse-bac® Series vacuums are equipped with an exclusive Cyclonic Debris Management system that reduces filter exposure to dust and debris. The CDM is located inside the tank at the air inlet and creates a cyclonic effect inside the tank, lowering dust and debris to the bottom of the tank and holding it there. The CDM system benefits the user by preventing dust and debris from constantly cycling up to the filters, thereby lowering overall filter replacement cost and pro-longing the life of the filters.

Twist on/off P.T.F.E. Spun Bond Polyester Filters: 

The Pulse-bac® vacuums as standard are equipped with advanced patented (US Patent # 8226739) twist on filters, manufactured out of a non-woven Spun Bond Polyester material and coated with a P.T.F.E. (Teflon) coating, capable of capturing dust particles as small as .012 micron. The easy to install twist on design makes installing and replacing filters quick and easy. The advanced filter media pro-longs the life of the filters, thereby reducing filter replacement cost. (It is recommended filters be changed after every 4 to 6 months of use)

HEPA Filtration:

The Pulse-bac® Hepa Series vacuums are equipped with advanced patented (US Patent #8226739) twist on filters, manufactured out of a non-woven Spun Bond Polyester material and coated with a P.T.F.E. **Please note: All units are supplied with standard HEPA-rated filters but only the model numbers that contain an “H” have two stage (exhaust) HEPA filtration, for example PB-550H, PB-1050H. ***

 Tank Capacity Sensor:

Certain Pulse-bac® units systems are fitted with a tank capacity sensor that warns the user via audible alarm and flashing LED on the control panel when the collection chamber has reached capacity and needs to be emptied. When the tank chamber reaches a pre-determined amount of dust and debris the TCS system will warn the operator the tank is full. After being warned, the user has a set amount of time to turn off the vacuum and empty the debris inside the tank. If this is not done in the set amount of time allowed, the TCS system will automatically shut off the vacuum until the tank has been emptied. This action prevents the tank from becoming over filled.

Electronically Controlled:

The Pulse-Bac® Technology is automatically controlled by a an advanced electronic PC board that uses surface mount technology with a conformal coating to protect it against moisture, dust and the elements. All PCB are tested for 48 hours prior to being installed and are covered by a one year limited warranty.

 Most low-budget domestic vacuums operate in the 40 to 80 CFM range when purchased and performance drops off almost immediately as filters clog – as a result these performance figures are almost never stated by the manufacturers.

Hum-B Floor Grinder

CDCLarue’s Hum-B floor surfacing and polishing equipment covers more square feet in less time with less effort, maximizing comfort and increasing productivity. Their ergonomically designed floor surfacing equipment allows the user to grind or polish in an upright position, reducing fatigue, backaches, and job site injuries. Hum-B floor surfacing equipment is ideal for grinding or polishing concrete, terrazzo, stone, and masonry or removing paint, thin set, adhesives, VCT, mastic and epoxy floor coatings. Hum-B floor grinders are the only floor surfacing equipment equipped with the patented Dust Grabber™ dust shroud. This shroud allows the grinder to float across the surface like a puck on ice, eliminating 100% of suction lock and capturing 99% of airborne dust.

Hum-B floor grinders come with a 2” dust port, 150 watt halogen light, non-marking caster wheels, a 6000 RPM or 3500 RPM polishing grinder and a one year warranty. CDCLarue offers different types of abrasives to use with the floor grinders from cup wheels to remove epoxy coatings or prepping a concrete floor for a new application, to polishing rings for polishing concrete, stone and terrazzo.

To achieve a dust free operation we strongly recommend using a Pulse-Bac® PB-1050 dust vacuum to capture the dust generated by the grinder. If using the grinder to remove paint from floors, a PB-1050H HEPA Certified dust vacuum is recommended.

 

Dust Grabber Shroud

Dust shrouds are used on angle grinders and other types of tools used to cut, grind or sand. Dust shrouds are a chamber around the abrasive that aids in capturing the dust generated by the tool at the point of generation, all with the assistance of vacuum. Most dust shrouds attempt to seal the shroud to the surface, but once you turn on the vacuum, the shroud can become suction locked to the surface and cause damage.

Patented Dust Grabber™ shrouds are designed to move air, not seal it. This patented design moves air to capture dust and eliminates 100% of suction lock, allowing the grinder to float across the surface like a puck on ice. The Dust Grabber is the only shroud that uses a replaceable polymer seal. The seal creates a vortex of moving air all around the circumference of the shroud from top to bottom, eliminating suction lock and capturing 99% of fugitive dust. The polymer seal is designed to quickly be replaced when worn out and does not require the abrasive or steel shroud to be removed when replacing the seal. The easy to replace polymer seal cuts shroud replacement cost by 75% and takes less than a minute to replace.  The one piece design is not only more efficient at collecting dust , but also quicker and easier to use on the job allowing you to get as close as 1/16″ to the wall without the need for a removable edge piece.

Dust Grabber shrouds are designed to fit most name brand 7” and 4” angle grinders and have a lifetime replacement warranty on the steel shroud. Dust shrouds can help to prevent silicosis of the lungs, as well as prolong the life of your tools by preventing abrasive dust and debris from reaching the motors and gears.
